Soccer in New Ross

Wexford has numerous soccer clubs which can be found across the county starting with teams as young as U8's up to seniors. Many young players who have played for clubs in Wexford have gone on and developed their skills which have earned them a place in the professional game. Kevin Doyle who is now both playing for premiership side Reading, while representing his country, played with Adamstown until his talent was spotted where he then made a move to semi professional side Cork and then finally ending up in Reading where he earned top goal scorer last season.
